How To Travel Like A Supermodel » Emirates Woman

When not gracing the catwalks in all their glory, supermodels are traversing the globe in sensational style. Inspired by their Instagram postings, Emirates Woman uncovers the most fashionable hotspots to explore.

Las Vegas

Sleep: Cara and her posse stayed at the Palms Casino Resort when visiting the big city to celebrate fellow model Georgia May Jagger’s birthday. A haven for young celebrities, the off-the-strip hotel has a Michelin-starred restaurant, casino, recording studio and 2,500-seats concert theatre. Here, the party never ends – perfect for Cara.

Do: Catch a show. Cara saw Celine Dion in concert, but fast outselling Dion and Elton John is comeback queen Britney. Tickets for her Piece Of Me show are available on

Eat: FIVE50 Pizza Bar is an exclusive joint venture between ARIA, a luxury hotel, and award-winning chef Shawn McClain. A popular venue among the A-list.

Drink: The cool crowd congregate at The Downtown Cocktail Room where the creative bartenders bring a whole new meaning to the phrase mixologist.

Sleep: Frequented by Hollywood hot shots and designed by Philippe Starck, it doesn’t get more illustrious than the Sanderson.

Do: Sightsee. No matter how many times you’ve been to the city, you still haven’t seen it all.

Eat: Co-owned by Robert DeNiro, Nobu in Mayfair is awash with A-listers and models.

Drink: Go to Evans & Peel Detective Agency for minor role-play in a very well hidden speakeasy. Appointments must be made in advance, stating your ‘case’.

Party: Cara, Rihanna and Prince Harry are just a few of the stars that are regulars at London’s hottest, raunchiest and most entertaining club – The Box.

Sleep: Incredibly sleek and elegant, the smoke-free 101 Hotel is a luxurious boutique spot in the heart Reykjavik.

Do: Follow in the footsteps of Karlie Kloss and hike a glacier, climb the side of a waterfall and unwind in a hot spring.

Eat: It doesn’t get more authentic than at Humarhusid Restaurant, which prides itself for its 90 per cent Icelandic cuisine including fresh fish, lobster, duck and horse.

Drink: Housed in an abandoned biscuit factory, Kex is stunning bar that feels more like a trendy warehouse-style home. Old bookshelves and artefacts give it a delightfully rustic feel. If you’re lucky, you might catch a live gig.

Party: A longstanding institute is Kaffibarinn. Though it still retains much of its original 1980s design, it’s still a popular haunt with celebrities.

Sleep: Brought to everyone’s attention
in Lost In Translation, the Park Hyatt Tokyo, in the upper floors of the impressive Kenzo Tange tower, attracts actors, models
and discerning travellers alike.

Do: Go shopping, of course. But aside from hitting Ginza district for a dose of fashion, do as Georgia did and explore the markets. The Tsukiji fish market is great for fresh sushi. If you have time, take a day trip to Mount Fuji.

Eat: Made famous for that major fight scene in Kill Bill, Gonpachi is just as renowned for its local cuisine – think delicious tempura, fresh sushi and its popular chocolate and sesame desserts.

Drink: Take a gamble and let the bartenders decide what drink you want at Bar High Five. They pride themselves on their mixology skills and they rarely get it wrong.

Party: You can’t go out in Tokyo without visiting a karaoke bar. There are plenty to choose from but for extra glam try the VIP karaoke rooms in Le Baron de Paris, the Marc Newson co-owned club.

Sleep: The Russian model spent time at the gorgeous Hotel Splendide, a 19th-century palace overlooking the Villa Borghese gardens, and in walking distance from the Spanish Steps and the boutiques of Via dei Condotti.

Do: A night tour of the city. Not only do you avoid the manic tourist crowds, but you also get to see the wondrous city lit in all its glory.

Eat: Ristorante Crispi19, located in the heart of the city (between the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps), serves traditional Italian dishes with a modern twist, but also has caviar on its deluxe menu, which will please Natasha.

Drink: Laid-back but incredibly stylish, Bar Necci is a wrap-around garden terrace that is as popular with locals as it is with the international glitterati.

Party: Old-world charm meets debauchery at Goa, a nightclub where Leonardo DiCaprio and his fellow cast members from Gangs Of New York let off steam after filming.

Singita & JoBurg

Sleep: Miranda got a glimpse of Africa’s Big Five while staying at Singita Lodges, a luxurious resort on Kruger National Park. This is the most stylish safari experience you’ll have.

Do: Go on an early morning safari a la Miranda and catch the wildlife in their daily routine.

Eat: The closet city to Singita is Johannesburg. There dine at Zietsies – fine dining in non-pretentious surroundings and mesmerising views of the city to boot.

Drink: As the most talked about cocktail bar in the city, JHBLive has to be worth a visit.

Party: With a giant dance floor and eight bars as well as a premium cigar and whiskey menu, The Manhattan Club is grand in every sense.
